Pocket Doula Care provides thoughtful, personalized support from pregnancy through the fourth trimester. Founded by Vanessa, our work is rooted in communication, education, and the kind of steady, personal support that makes families feel genuinely held.
Why we exist
Because every family deserves someone in their pocket.
The things we keep in our pockets aren't random. They are the things we trust we'll need, the things we reach for without thinking. Pocket Doula Care was built on that same idea. Someone who is always close by. Someone who carries part of the mental load. Someone who stays calm when plans change, anticipates needs before they're spoken, and answers the phone at 2 a.m. because that is what families deserve.
Birth is transformational and unpredictable. Postpartum is about far more than the baby. It is about the whole family and the person becoming a parent, all over again, with each new child.
We support people who are brave and exhausted, hungry and hopeful, celebrating and grieving, recovering and becoming new versions of themselves. We show up with evidence-informed education, practical experience, and a deep respect for informed consent, so every family we walk beside feels safe, heard, supported, respected, confident, and reassured. Someone beside you who stays calm when things get intense, explains what is happening, and helps your partner know what to do. From the day you sign your contract through the first hours with your baby.

Postpartum Care
Sleep, feeding help, and recovery support at home, so you have time to shower, eat, and be cared for as a person rather than only supported as a parent.

You'll be matched with a primary doula who gets to know you, your goals, and your household, so you feel known rather than processed. Behind her is an experienced group of doulas who communicate, collaborate, and step in when they're needed, so your care stays calm and continuous.
