At Pocket Doula Care, our relationship begins long before labor starts. From the moment you sign your contract, you have a trusted birth doula in your corner for education, birth planning, evidence-informed information, resource recommendations, and honest guidance. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, or home birth, our goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in every decision you make about your body and your baby.
Most families come to us wanting the same thing: someone who will stay calm when they can't, explain what is happening without taking the decision away, and give their partner something useful to do. That is the work. Birth is transformational and unpredictable, and you should never have to navigate it alone.
Pocket Doula Care serves families throughout Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Pflugerville, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Buda, Kyle, and Dripping Springs.
How your care begins
Every family begins with a personal consultation with Vanessa, our founder. You'll talk through your birth preferences, questions, concerns, timeline, and the kind of support you're looking for.
From there, Vanessa helps connect you with the Pocket Doula who is the right fit for your care. Your primary doula becomes your main point of contact throughout your pregnancy and birth, with the Pocket Doula Care team available to provide collaborative backup when needed.
A team behind your birth
Birth can be unpredictable. That's why we believe your support system should be stronger than one person's availability. Our doulas work together to provide backup coverage when circumstances require it, and Vanessa remains available as an experienced in-house layer of support for the team.

We can't promise you a particular birth. No one can. What we can tell you is what tends to change when an experienced doula is beside you.
